Christophe Lenaerts of 2 Stream was personally received by US Ambassador Bill White at the American embassy's official residence in Brussels, following the USA250 Freedom Celebration.

Christophe Lenaerts, co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of 2 Stream, was personally received by U.S. Ambassador Bill White at the official residence of the American embassy in Brussels. The meeting looked back on the successful USA250 Freedom Celebration, included a personal decoration for Christophe, and covered future collaboration on livestreaming, broadcast, and audiovisual communication for diplomatic missions.

A recognition that goes beyond a single event

Some meetings are more than a courtesy visit.

A few weeks after the USA250 Freedom Celebration at Brussels' Parc du Cinquantenaire, US Ambassador Bill White received Christophe Lenaerts at the official residence of the American embassy in Brussels. The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on an exceptional project, but more importantly, to look ahead at the future of audiovisual communication within the diplomatic world.

During the conversation, Ambassador White personally presented a commemorative medal in recognition of 2 Stream's contribution to the event.

For Christophe Lenaerts, this honor carries particular meaning.

"I see this medal not as a personal recognition, but as an acknowledgment of the entire 2 Stream team and all the partners who worked on this project. International productions at this level are always the result of collaboration, preparation, and mutual trust."

A historic celebration in the heart of Europe

On June 28, 2026, the USA250 Freedom Celebration took place at Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels, organized by the US Tri-Mission Belgium, comprising:

  • US Embassy Belgium

  • US Mission to the European Union (USEU)

  • US Mission to NATO (USNATO)

More than 8,000 guests attended the event, including diplomats, NATO representatives, European institutions, Belgian authorities, military personnel, and international media.

2 Stream was responsible for the full broadcast distribution, streaming infrastructure, and international broadcast syndication, while DB Video handled the multi-camera production and live coverage on site.

A conversation about the future of diplomatic communication

While the USA250 celebration was the occasion for the meeting, the focus was firmly on the future.

The conversation covered the evolution of audiovisual communication within diplomatic missions and international organizations at length, touching on livestreaming, hybrid events, multilingual communication, and innovative broadcast solutions. Both parties exchanged ideas on how audiovisual technology can support governments and diplomatic institutions in communicating with an international audience.

The meeting confirmed the mutual trust built during the USA250 Freedom Celebration and offered a valuable opportunity to discuss future challenges and opportunities in professional audiovisual communication.

A personal gift from Heihuyzen

Following the meeting, Christophe Lenaerts presented a selection from the Heihuyzen Collection to Ambassador Bill White and his husband Bryan, as a personal thank-you for the warm reception and the pleasant conversations.

The gift included the family business's full current collection:

  • M-Gin

  • C-Gin

  • M-Rum

  • M-Cask

  • Mastentoppen Jenever

  • AperØ

Trust isn't built on a single project

For 2 Stream, this meeting is not just a fitting close to a remarkable project, but also confirmation of a relationship built on trust, quality, and professionalism.

We've supported international organizations, governments, and diplomatic institutions for years with reliable audiovisual solutions for events where quality, security, and continuity are essential. In our work across the NATO ecosystem, EU institutions, and embassy-level events in Brussels, we see this pattern constantly: the technical brief is rarely the hard part. The hard part is coordinating with military logistics, respecting protocol around VIP movement, and still hitting a livestream cue at the exact second an ambassador expects it.

The invitation to the residence and the personal decoration confirm, above all, the trust that emerges when technical expertise is combined with a professional, solutions-driven approach.

Building the future together

Diplomatic communication is evolving fast.

Livestreaming, video, podcasts, and hybrid events have become indispensable tools for informing and connecting citizens, partners, and international audiences.

This meeting underscores how professional audiovisual communication plays an increasingly important role in diplomatic and international cooperation. For 2 Stream, it's a meaningful confirmation of the expertise we've built over the years in broadcast, livestreaming, and hybrid events for governments, international organizations, and companies.
